f18

f18 is a remake of the original Amiga title f18 Interceptor.

Using the Defold game engine. The dev diary is here. Currently an in-development demonstrator.

Updates:

• New Keyboard Controls - Pause is now P
• Dashboard updates: Target, Landing Gear, Warnings, GForce, Weapons and more.
• Migs flying paths/routes
• More improvements to f18 flight model (still more to come).
• Various improvements to scene. 

I hope to have a regular release every second Friday (Australian Central Time).

Currently this isnt happening as much as I'd like (due to various problems) so I will probably try every second week.

Much of the simulation is similar but many features are different. The goal for me was to make something that 'looks and feels' like the old game with a few new bits and pieces.

This is primarily a desktop game (there is no key input for mobile yet).

HINT: Press P to begin, and make sure you hold S right away or you will end up in the water!! Good luck!

Keys:

WSAD	Up, Down, Left and Right controls for the f18
P	toggle Pause
F1 and F2	Increase resolution or decrease resolution
1 and 2	Increase throttle or decrease throttle
TAB	Selects weapon to fire
SPACE	Fires selected weapon (Gun not enabled yet)
T	Choose a target focus
R	Change Radar Range
G	toggle Gear Up/Down
C	Change cameras

Extended Keys:

V	while in Camera mode orbit, step through the non f18 objects
B	while in Camera mode orbit tell one of the Migs to follow/track you
BACKSPACE	Enables physics debug
0	While in debug shows Defold profiling info
/	This is a rather interesting debug option. Message me if youd like to write your own f18 model (I supply one to start with).

Arrow Keys:

- Move camera in camera orbit mode at runtime.

- Select menu with UP/DOWN and ENTER key
